Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage air permit applications for industrial clients in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Conduct air emissions calculations using methodologies such as mass balance and engineering judgment.
  • Engage in projects involving Title V, NSR, PSD, NESHAP, NSPS, and other Clean Air Act requirements.
  • Analyze facility operations to assess potential environmental permitting needs.
  • Interpret complex environmental regulations and formulate compliance strategies.
  • Prepare technical documentation including engineering calculations, permit narratives, and compliance reports.
  • Assist clients with regulatory requirements under major environmental acts including CAA, CWA, and RCRA.
  • Contribute to the development of environmental documentation such as SWPPP, SPCC Plans, and Tier II reports.
  • Collaborate with senior professionals on addressing complex regulatory and technical challenges.
  • Maintain effective communication with regulatory agencies and clients.
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Utilize digital tools to enhance project efficiency and execution.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–10 years of relevant experience in environmental engineering within manufacturing or consulting.
  • Proven experience with air quality permitting and environmental regulations for industrial facilities.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team.
  • Professional certification such as PE or CHMM is a plus.
  • Experience in environmental consulting is preferred; candidates from industrial backgrounds with strong technical skills are encouraged to apply.
