Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Environment Health & Safety Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role requires a proactive professional who can effectively develop, implement, and monitor environmental health and safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a safe and healthy workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with departments on equipment design, fire prevention, and safety programs.
• Review plans for new machinery to ensure safety measures are included.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to identify and rectify safety hazards.
• Conduct and coordinate safety training for employees on emergency procedures and safety regulations.
• Investigate industrial accidents, prepare reports, and recommend preventive measures.
• Perform air quality tests to detect harmful substances.
• Identify health and safety hazards and propose corrective actions.
• Provide expertise on ergonomics, hazardous materials, and industrial hygiene.
• Conduct audits and compile safety reports.
• Manage workers' compensation, OSHA logs, and return-to-work programs.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental, or Health Sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EH&S or related position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience with safety programs such as LOTO, Machine Safety, and Risk Assessments.
• Previous experience in the manufacturing industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Safety certifications.
• Familiarity with Cal/OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Experience with risk assessments and ISO 14001/45001 audits.
